Outdoors in Fukuoka and About

Some Outdoor Things to do and to see in and around Fukuoka.

An almost exploding daikon radish.

Biwa fruit, aka loquat, ready to be picked.
One of the most deciduous fruits. For sale in the shops for plenty of yen but often found for free Outdoors.

The central part of Kyushu is for sure, volcanic active.
Here at the base of Mt Kuju, hot steam is escaping all over the place.
The locals are using it wisely for home heating % cooking.
This area offers great camping spots.
Some dedicated camp-grounds, but Mother Nature has many more nice spots to offer.

A Yummy Tofu Only lunch
at one of the special restaurants we can find this area.
The tofu tastes so good due to the use of mountain water and hot-spring cooking.

This is d-i-y hot-spring cooking.
Using Mother's Earth Steam.
Fun, fun, fun and more fun to do.
And amazing tasty.
Bring your own drinkies & food, like veggies, shrimps, eggs, potatoes, whatever...
The fee? Just rent some SS baskets for a penny.

Master Chef Hashimoto san.

My Outdoor Buddies for today.

An other day, an other Outdoor.
Hiking one of the hills surrounding Fukuoka.
At the top, feel free to rake the place for everybody to enjoy.
And then it's time for the scenery.

That's Fukuoka down there.
